Join Together Women Rise CEO Beverley Francis-Gibson for a special, exclusive journey to Kenya in June 2027. This is a unique opportunity to learn about and experience firsthand the broad scope of Together Women Rise's impact on gender equality in the Global South -- through immersive site visits, personal interactions with Rise's leadership, and group discussions. You will visit four organizations that Rise has supported: Kakenya's Dream, CureCervical Cancer, The Pangea Network, and KGSA Foundation. Between visits, you will experience Kenya's rich culture, history, and natural beauty, with time for individual and group reflections on what you have seen and learned along the journey.
Interested but want to learn more. Beverley would love to connect and tell you more about what you can expect on this trip. Email beverley@togetherwomenrise.org.
KGSA Foundation - The KGSA Foundation is a nonprofit that supports the Kibera Girls Soccer Academy in Kenya by funding and providing a free, holistic secondary education—including housing, healthcare, nutrition, and leadership development—for girls from underserved communities. Their goal is to empower girls to break the cycle of poverty and become independent leaders who can improve their families and communities.
CureCervicalCancer - CureCervicalCancer is a nonprofit organization that works to prevent cervical cancer in low-resource countries by providing screening, early treatment, and mobile or permanent clinics. It also trains local healthcare workers and equips communities with sustainable tools and technology to detect and treat the disease early
The Pangea Network - The Pangea Network is an international nonprofit that empowers women and youth—primarily in Kenya and the United States—through education, leadership development, and business skills training. It provides resources and an ongoing support network to help participants build economic independence and create positive change in their communities.
Kakenya’s Dream - Kakenya’s Dream empowers girls in rural Kenya by providing education, healthcare, leadership training, and life skills to help them reach their full potential. It also works with communities to end practices like child marriage and female genital mutilation while creating long-term opportunities for girls to become leaders and agents of change.

Insurance:
Elevate Destinations will purchase emergency evacuation coverage for you through Flying Doctors. This policy covers you from June 1 - June 8, 2027. Click here for a description of what this policy covers.
This coverage does not include trip cancelation or interruption benefits and also does not cover pre- or post-trip days of travel booked outside of Elevate Destinations. We strongly suggest you purchase additional coverage to cover your non-refundable expenses in the event you need to cancel your trip or have additional expenses incurred on the trip.
Elevate strongly recommends purchasing additional travel and medical insurance and Cancel for Any Reason Coverage (CFAR) to cover trip related expenses. Please note that some CFAR insurance options are time-sensitive. Please be ready to purchase an insurance policy within 14 days of making your first trip payment.

Travel Doctor: Consult with a travel clinic or your primary care physician regarding immunizations or other precautions you may need to take in order to participate in this journey. You will need to do this well in advance of your trip as some vaccinations require time to take effect, and you may need to allow time between a series of shots.
Resources for Health Guidance: Please consult with a travel clinic or your personal physician read through the following resources for information on immunizations and other health preparations and individual requirements to travel to Uganda.
CDC Website - US Based

Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP)
We recommend that all travelers from the U.S. sign up for the U.S. State Department’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP). This is a free service provided by the U.S. Government to U.S. citizens who are traveling to, or living in, a foreign country. STEP allows you to enter information about your upcoming trip abroad so that the Department of State can better assist you in case of an emergency. Enrolling in this program has enormous benefits in case of an emergency while abroad:
You will receive information from the Embassy about safety conditions in your destination.
Enrolling lets the U.S. Embassy in that country know that you are there and helps them contact you in an emergency, whether natural disaster, civil unrest, or family-related.
